The Exodus Redux Kodi addon is the perfect multi-source addon for your Kodi setup. It is the combination of LambdaScrapers, ResoleURL, and Incursion’s code base. Simple and straightforward, it is instantly a recommendation addon install for all users.

Not sure what this all means? Keep reading for all of the details!

So, why Exodus Redux?

Kodi addons are made up of three separate parts:

  1. The Scraper
  2. The Resolver
  3. The Search Engine

The Exodus Redux addon (or any other addon) is the search engine. It’s job is to search and query movie and TV titles. In the case of Exodus and other multi-source addons, it uses Trakt, TMDB, and TVDM databases to present movies and titles in playlists such as “most popular” or “trending movies”.

When you search or query a title, the Kodi addon searches through scrapers, which are websites on the internet that contain links to media files. The scraper used by Exodus Redux is LambdaScrapers, which has quickly become the most popular set of scrapers for Kodi.

After showing you a list of media files, the one you pick to play is passed off to a resolver. The resolver module in Exodus Redux is ResolveURL, which is a collection of instructions on how to navigate through file hosts to get out the raw video file.

Kodi addons get a lot of hype by name, but are really comprised of 95% of the same code. Exodus Redux is the combination of the best pieces of code available today. Like all Kodi addons, it stores no media and does not have any control over what you stream.

Essentially, Incursion Fork + LambdaScrapers + ResolveURL = the best multi-source addon combination.

Exodus Redux Latest Version

The latest release of Exodus Redux is from November 2nd, v1.0.6 (module v1.0.6). It looks like LambdaScrapers is now set to be the enabled by default. We’ve updated the setup guide below accordingly.

Make sure you check out the configuration section at the bottom of this guide if you are having trouble!

Changes in this version are as follows:

  • Exodus Redux
    • LambdaScrapers is now enabled by default
  • Exodus Redux Module
    • Remove nonperforming scrapers from defaults
    • LambdaScrapers module is now default provider
    • Scraper fixes
      • rlsbb
      • plocker
    • Tons of scrapers verified to be working
  • Lambda Scrapers
    • Resume fix for Kodi 18 Leia
    • Removed channels

As well, the search functionality has been fixed in Kodi 18.

Other recent changes include:

  • Fixed genres and years not working in Movies section
  • Fixed Trakt not working
  • Removed duplicate scraper
  • Removed ResolveURL from ExodusRedux Repo. Linked directly to jsergio’s repo instead

The addon uses the Incursion code base (The Incursion fork comes from the original Exodus addon) with LambdaScrapers integrated into the addon. There are some “tweaks” made but those specifics were not posted.

Out of the box, the addon only comes with one provider that scrapers for movie trailers. In order to enable LambdaScrapers and all of the functionality from that module, you have to enable it in the settings (as shown in the install guide below).
