The addon is split out by different musical genres and pulls in content from various Youtube playlist users. It has been around for a long time, since 2015, maintained by frenchdj with his own repo: frenchdj.repository-0.0.1
NOTE: All content is pulled from Youtube and is completely free and legal to watch.
After you install the Alive.HD addon, you’ll see the following options in the main menu:
- Favourites
- Search
- New
- Rock
- Metal
- Pink
- Indie
- Jazz
- PT Fests (Portuguese Music Festivals)
The addon also has a link to the Beats.HD addon, the equivalent addon source for EDM and electronic music content.

How to Install Alive.HD Kodi Add-on (Jarvis, Krypton, Leia) – Standard Instructions
ON Kodi 17 Krypton & 18 Leia Only: From the main menu, navigate to Settings > System Settings > Add-ons > Turn On Unknown Sources > Click Yes.
- Download the Frenchdj repo by clicking here and save it somewhere you can access from your Kodi box.
- From your Kodi home screen.
- ON Kodi 17 Krypton or later: Select Add-ons > Add-on Browser
- ON Kodi 16 or earlier: Select SYSTEM > Add-Ons
- Select Install from Zip File > Select the frenchdj.repository-x.x-x.zip you downloaded above and wait for the Add-on enabled notification
- Select Install from Repository > FrenchDJ repository > Video Add-ons > Alive.HD > Install
- Wait for Add-on enabled notification
How to Install Alive.HD Kodi Addon – Git Browser Method
If you don’t already have the Git Browser Kodi addon installed, click here to read our guide and then come back here and use the instructions below.
- From your Kodi home screen.
- ON Kodi 17 Krypton or later: Select Add-ons > Add-on Browser
- ON Kodi 16 or earlier: Select SYSTEM > Add-Ons
- Select My Addons > Program Add-ons > Indigo
- Navigate to Addon Installer > Git Browser > Search By GitHub Username > **New Search**
- Enter frenchdj into the search bar and then click OK. Select repository.frenchdj-x.x.zip from the list, making sure you select the highest revision of the repository.
- After the repository has installed, click Continue when you get the popup.
- Back out of the Indigo addon and navigate to SYSTEM > Add-ons > Install From Repository > FrenchDJ Repository > Video Addons > Alive.HD > Install
- Wait for the Add-on Enabled Notification

There is no ALIVE HD on the new XvBMC repo. Can not find frenchdj repo.
Zip file not there for me too.
I have the colossus repository, but there is no alive hd add on listed. 🙁
Help plz, in step 5, no zip file is listed to select. Thx in advance.
