Getting Kodi 4K Video in working format is not always possible due to the large file sizes and bandwidth restraints. However, it will be more common in the future and the Kodi 4K video add-on has a head start on the competition!

I get requests on our Twitter account all the time for Kodi 4K, high definition, and Dolby 5.1 audio content all the time. While I try my best to accommodate, the truth is that not a lot of add-ons are offering 4K content. The upload times and bandwidth it takes is often not worth it. And a bigger file size means more chance of buffering, which users don’t want either.
Luckily, there is a new Kodi 4K add-on called 4K Media that is offering high definition quality content to those with the hardware and internet speeds to handle it. That means Kodi 4K Video, Kodi 5.1 DTS surround sound, and Kodi HD 3D movies as well! Thanks to Kodi Community for the tip!
Inside of the Kodi 4K Media add-on, there are four categories: 3D HD, 3D HD Live (Coming Soon), 4K, 4K Live TV, and HD Movies. The live sections don’t offer a lot of content because there isn’t a lot of live content in 3D or 4K! However, the 3D HD, 4K, and HD movies will have something for everyone!
Because Kodi 4K video content files are big anyway, the files don’t have the audio stripped down to 2 channels! That means that if you don’t have a 4K TV to enjoy the Kodi 4K quality, you can still watch all of the videos in 1080p high definition with the added bonus of Dolby 5.1 surround sound!
How to Install 4K Media Kodi Addon
This addon is a third-party Kodi addon not supported by the Kodi Foundation. Though Kodi add-ons don’t story any files or host any content, streams from this addon are scraped from websites that fall in a grey legal area.
Because it is not legal to stream this content in every country and location, we are not posting a how-to guide on this website. We believe that this is the safest move for KodiTips.com because we know that there are parties looking to crack down on websites promoting piracy and we are not one of those.

The 4k addon doesn’t work anymore, it’s been gone for months, unfortunately there is no 4K in Kodi at the moment that works, except for the Big Buck Bunny addon

The links for the movies have gone,but they were not 4K anyway! The only link that works is the 1 channel in live TV

When I go into the 4k sections the movie lists are there but no movie files in any folder and this is the same way in every section.
Have any of you tried the UHD Demo addon that’s in the Pipcan Repo? I couldn’t get anything to play even with 36mbs download speed,which suggests that the videos are definitely 4K!
I gave the add on a try, and also find the 4K movies play in 1080p whereas the live channel plays 4K.
Quality however is really good…
Cannot install Kodi 4k Video following instructions. All is well until I select the downloaded Pipccan zip file. It doesn’t seem to install and I don’t get any type of message. I’ve downloaded the appropriate file several times and I do see it in my download folder, but when I select and try to install it, nothing, Any help or suggestions out there?
A lot of people are saying that, but my is also saying it’s 4K! It’s definitely not your average 1080p kodi video, it’s way better quality. I have also noticed my bandwidth reduces dramatically when playing one of these films!

Yes u can change it,
Click the English link let it download, then play the movie. It will play in Thai, then go to the audio settings in your Xbmc/kodi while movie is playing it should say audio in Thai 5.1 Dolby or something like that click that and then your able to change the language to English.

You can’t change the language unfortunately. There a change to English link for each film, but they don’t work
