Amazon has announced brand new Fire TV hardware. The Fire TV is a popular option for loading Kodi onto them. Have a look at the specs of the new Fire TV and check out how you can order one today!
Amazon has announced an update to its Fire TV and Fire TV stick line, beefing up the specs, adding voice control, and some more features!
The new Fire TV keeps the same look and Android operating system, meaning that you will be able to sideload Kodi onto the Fire TV and gain access to all of the great Kodi add-ons.
The new Fire TV now supports 4K Ultra HD, so if you have a 4K TV you should be able to take advantage of 4K streams if a Kodi add-on supports them. As well, the Alexa personal assistant is now built into the Fire TV voice remote, meaning you can check sports scores or weather, play music, and more instantly by talking to your remote. The Fire TV comes with access to a ton of cordcutting apps like Netflix, NBC News, Sling TV, ESPN, CNN, HDTV, AMC, and more so that you can sign in and use any of the services you use in addition to Kodi. If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, you get unlimited access to Prime video, which has exclusive content.
Spec-wise, the new Fire TV includes a new processor with 75% more power, 2GB of memory, better wi-fi support, and 8GB of storage which is expandable up to 128GB.

Also, the new Fire TV stick has the same specs as the old one. The only difference is the $10 extra for the new voice remote. =) New Fire TV has only 1 USB port, I believe.
I thought the new fire tv has only 1 usb port, why does it say 2 usb ports?
