Having issues with Filmon not working? As of May 1st, 2017, Filmon has changed a part of their service and are no longer offering their free channels. In order to use the full Filmon service, you’ll need to subscribe to the paid channels subscription of Filmon.

Thank you for contacting FilmOn Customer Support.
Unfortunately, We need to inform you, that we are no longer offering the free SD watching due to contractual requirements with our content vendors.
We’re very sorry and apologize for the inconvenience. We had no possibility to let our Customers know about this change in our service in advance.The two minute viewing window is also on their website, after which it takes you a nag screen to pay for the service.
The cut-off date was May 1st so the ramifications of this, especially in the UK since it’s a Bank Holiday, will take some time to be felt.
So if you’ve discovered Filmon not working like it used to, there is unfortunately nothing you can do. If you do like the service, consider subscribing to the Filmon paid channels. Simply enter your username and password into the settings of the Filmon Kodi addon and you are free to go.

Well – Support is back – with apologies. Of the four shows I had recorded only one is available to watch. The others had the dreaded red identifier – so I’ve deleted them. The system is accepting more recordings but with a blue identifiers even though they should be green by now (recorded over 3 hours ago). Hopefully they’ll be available later today.
Anyway – things are looking better today than it did yesterday!
Filmon’s problems seem to be permanent. Their customer service is non-existent. I give up! Have cancelled all future payments. Am trying TVMucho now, so far so good and it’s cheaper.

It sounds a bit promising but what USA Network’s contribution will be is anyone’s guess. I hope it doesn’t interfere with the UK channels we have been watching for years.
My airbook browsers (Safari and F´fox) won´t even connect to the filmon site anymore, neither will my iMac at work. (Always get the “can´t connect to server” message. Same with email sent to them.) I can get the site on my son´s pc but it won´t accept my login. This morning I connected and signed in on my wife´s iPad. All very strange.
Because of not being able to even get onto the filmon site I cancelled my subscription via the PayPal site and will see how things develop.
If any FilmonTV recording is not working, what should I do?
My FimOn fails to play back recordings, and titles the requested recording with ‘Waiting’.
Of course, there is no recording. Despite the wait.

When I tried to send an email message through FilmOn’s general support address link provided on its homepage, [email protected], the email was returned with an error message.
My viewing experience for FilmOn differed from what I have read online. I had still been able to watch the SD streams of FilmOn TV programming at least as of December 2017. And that applies to FilmOn’s online streams as well to the FilmOn apps through my Roku device.
According to one message posted here (allegedly by some agent of FilmOn) on January 11, 2018, FilmOn is supposed to “be fully restored Thursday evening.” But as that message was posted on a Thursday, January 11th, one is left confused as to whether the “Thursday evening” is Jan. 11th or Thursday, January 18, 2018.
In the meantime, I advise no payments be made to FilmOn,. It seems from so many conflicting reports about this business it is a sketchy operation that could well be in its final days of operation (if not already collapsed). Of course if some reliable message is eventually provided and service restored, perhaps the situation could improve and be worthy of receiving payments as if a legitimate business. But in the meantime, as the old adage goes, “Let the buyer beware.”
On their facebook page filmon have apologised their network is being updated. The whole system will be better than ever with more channels….should be fixed soon hopefully. At least some news about it….
One week later and Filmon is still not working in Canada, regardless of the touching Facebook message issued yesterday. That’s it for me.
I have noticed my account was debited on 11th January for my monthly subscription. So if filmon is able to collect money why are they not replying on e mails, activate support button and let us watch channels.
Not good enough, and I shall certainly leave film on.
No customer service care at all
I am unable to get any of my recordings to work. Their support page won’t load and they aren’t answering messages. I will cancel my subscription if this isn’t resolved in the next few days.

It looks like it’s a dead deal. The FilmOn site is now down as well as Support – so no way to contact them. Not that they were responding to inquiries anyway. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that they restart as I’ve loved the UK channels for years – but I’m seriously having my doubts.

Go to My Orders in the subscription column, the red number at the top is the latest subscription, (Order ID) hit this and go to cancel subscription on the right hand side. When it goes to grey it means the subscription has been terminated. Hope this helps.

I am having the same issues I have not been able to PVR any shows since Sunday. I have sent 2 emails and they are not responding to my emails and the support button is not working. Think might have to cancel as well, what kind of company is this?
Sent numerous emails to Filmon Support regarding the latest issues on January 9th -2018 onwards. Recorded programs cannot be viewed etc. No replies to emails so I cancelled, why pay for this crap service, they don’t have the decency to put out a statement regarding these issue’s, then at least we know where we stand.

My subscription was taken from my bank on Tuesday and all I get is your trial time has expired I have emailed support twice but no reply. Maybe if everyone cancelled their subscriptions they would take notice
I have just renewed my monthly subscription for recording space. But shows I tried to record yesterday are labelled with the blue “Accepted” tag, but I can’t play them. The option to contact Support on the website times out.

I just purchased another month of FilmOn.com on January 7th, 2018 and it stopped working on January 8th and hasn’t come back on since. Support is off line. I have six shows recorded with the blue identifiers but they never change to green for viewing. Does anyone know if FilmOn is finished or is this just a hiccup? Can get it on laptop in Turkey through monthly subscription. Won’t work on Samsung Smart TV though. Filmon say they don’t have an app for that. Can watch on TV by connecting to laptop with HDMI cable.

Around 2010CET Filmon just died, literally. No idea what is happening and of course as usual no information to paying customers from Filmon.
Filmon stopped working in SD so I switched to tvplayer.com – almost as good though the picture quality is pretty dodgy! It’s free which is nice.

At the moment I am happy to pay monthly, we all have had free UK TV in other countries for a while now.ITV/BBC players work fine with a VPN for now. Am looking at IPTV boxes, at the moment, I have had info about a box approx £150 and about £50/year subs.I am waiting for a solution to all of this,Youtube has gone very quiet about TV on Kodi (which was great). So I suggest pay up until something,whatever that maybe, happens.

I live in Spain. I have been using a VPN for over a year. I can get BBC and ITV on my PC and then I watch it on my TV using an Apple TV box and Airmypc, For me that is much better than nothing

Frustrating, not being able to watch Filmon at leisure whilst away from home – when introduced to it 2 years ago, thought it to be a rather pleasant experience…certainly will not be paying for the privilage of watching normal channels.
I tried so many other sites and because these sites redirect to FilmOn when watch British tv it cuts out so we need another streamer of British tv.
Also before you pay any money over the internet, there are 3 basic checks that you need to carry out:- 1. If a site leads you to a payment processor like PayPal, you need to make sure you are actually redirected to the real PayPal site and check the SSL certificate. 2. If it is a payment direct to a site (without redirection to a payment processor like PayPal or Stripe) then you still need to check the SSL certificate, even if it is Amazon, because one typo can lead you to a credit card harvesting site that looks the same. 3. A site you never used before to make a payment like Filmon.tv always check the domain registrar to see if it is a legit business before you start punching in your credit card details. As you will see below from the Domain lookup I checked, it is a US based company which tells me (being British) that this company does not have the rights of the BBC to sell it’s services (The BBC is big enough to sell it’s own online services, when it finally catches on that licences and old TV boxes are a thing of the past, but that is another story) furthermore, the domain check does reveal a London address, Street Name : Floor 1 Post Code : W1V 4AY, there is no post code W1V, unless it was a typo and they meant SW1V which is close to Chelsea Bridge but there is no street called Floor 1. The people talking about “throwing toys out of the pram” are misguided. Filmon was/is a pirate streaming service. The moment they decide to charge then they are profitting from this piracy. There is not another model on the internet which has ever got away with this and they will probably be shut down forthwith taking people’s bank details with them. I don’t think it’s a legit service like Spotify or Plex. The UK broadcasters should really think about offering a legit similar service, I’d certainly pay a good 10 euros a month for such a service. You’re taking stupid risks though by paying Filmon.
Decided to pay Filmon as it is in the end a lot easier solution for us not so sabe conputer users and of a certain age,so far it’s working but doing what it never did before which goes off and I have to start over again on my apple,probably teething problems on paying customers(I hope).
Disappointed about the quality but at least it’s not worse and the truth is here in Spain at least it’s not too bad,probably paying monthly is a better idea at the moment until we see what happens.

I am so sad that I pay huge amounts of “Rundfunkgebühren” in Berlin ( yes tv and radio) every month, watch a few shows on Filmon with my iPad and now have to pay a very sketchy fee for that. We are taxed left right and center, but are now not permitted a couple hours of television. Shame, shame, shame !!!!

I would pay a reasonable fee, and I already pay for a tv licence, but i won’t risk it if the perceived wisdom is that Filmon are going to go under.
Forget FilmOn. I signed up to Unotelly €4.50/mth. Changed my DNS on iPad and Samsung TV and now I’ve got all channels via their hubs and even better in HD. Easy to do.

Pretty gutted, – live in Germany. After reading through the comments I won’t subscribe until I see it actually working, which it doesn’t seem to be.

I live in Berlin, and am really disappointed that filmon is no longer free. I basically watch match of the day every Saturday night and occasionally something else. There was recently a change in the service here in Germany, where freeview went HD but you had to pay for the private broadcasters. Maybe something similar coming to the U.K. But I think the biggest influence is Netflix, amazon and co. They are growing others are panicking. I think changes are on the way, I wouldn’t advise anyone to subscribe to filmon. And if you have to, only for a month. I’d be surprised if they see a year out.

I’m watching all channels U.K. On Mobdro an add on on my Amazon fire stick, it’s also has US channels and Australian, on my tablet it’s impossible to watch as there are too many pop ups but on the fire stick it’s fine.

I normally play it from kodi on a fire tv stick. I paid for subscription, feeled the user name and password fields on the app settings but nothing. It will keep stopping every two minutes . So I sideloaded the android apk from the market on my stick gave my user name and password there and it works.
Film ON TV is a major nightmare for kodi users too! No more live UK tv that I can find. tried downloading the app for catchuptv which it says is for android V4 or above so should be no problem for any kodi boxes that are still in use really however I have V6 and not recognised by the app says no suitable devices when you try to download it from the app store or direct off the website! Works great on your pc or laptop or even on your iphone but not on a kodi box! Why?? you have to watch it direct on your computer no download for that although it says it will but no chance but still giving the UK TV terrestrial channels so we need to find a fix! Come on you coders do your thing

Be careful subscribing as you may loose your money. I would be happy to pay but unfortunately If you pay Film.on you will still not receive the channels. I know people who have paid in last couple of days and they are not receiving anything after 2 mins. They cannot be contacted either
Why is Playstore still allowing Filmon TV app to claiming shows free TV?
My question is that before filmon worked on my smart tv, tablet and IPhone why are they not able to do the same now with my subcription paid and up to date if the answer in not anymore I shall have to find another provider

I’ve just been using Exodus addon in Kodi. This allows you to search for any TV show or movie. So if you don’t mind watching UK TV a few hours later, or the next day – you can use this addon. Just tried ‘Little Boy Blue’ from Monday 1st May, and ‘Eastenders’ from 3rd May – both worked fine, with no 2 minute cut-off.
A VPN does not help. Already tried. If you’re in the UK or abroad they still want you to cough up for the paid subscription
Go to uktv.robssatellite.com. He’s still doing work on the servers so expect issues but i can stillwatch for free! As people are saying here, give it time. Film on had the monopoly but time will produce other alternatives! In the meantime go to robs satellite channel!
i know people who paid to be able to download and after a few weeks the function was stopped due to legal action… pay if you like for their new service but don’t be suprised if it stops working and no refund made.. they don’t refund!
You pay more for your TV licence in the UK (if you bother, that is) so don’t cry over paying less for the subscription. We already pay 15 euros per month for IPTV in Spain to another local company and find it good value for money.

I was also disappointed. I have paid for one months subscription after searching unsuccessfully for hours last night for free alternatives. It is a god send when you are abroad. I agree someone will fill the gap. Disappointing that the rate is not more competitive

1: charging for free to air is different to streaming for free so the bbc etc will soon be calling their lawyers.

We paid for a subscription yesterday so we could still get live TV and although the payment went through we’re still only getting the 2 minutes worth. Have contacted customer support several times by e-mail but nothing coming back. Any ideas as to why?
I’ve enjoyed Filmon for a couple of years now (free) – €150 per annum works out at less than €3 per week. The price of a couple of coffees! I was happy to subscribe. HD, too.

As Filmon are illegally relaying UK TV channels I would think they are not entitled to offer it as a subscription. Unlock the UK channels.
I have paid, (think it’s fair as I am not in UK) but my account will not register. Getting angry now
FilmOn have forgotten an important internet reality: if you piss off your users they will abandon you and you will only last until someone else moves into the gap you left. Usually, that takes 6 to 8 weeks. RIP FilmOn.
After a bit of research I hope this will be helpful, you can use another app called tvplayer that you can find on playstore
It has some of the channels and you don’t need to pay anything
And that tvcatchup still has few channels (something better than nothing )
And on Facebook look for the page of live nettv they also have a website where you can download their latest app and they have lots of channels including the filmons but still more channels (if you don’t have much space on your phone and it will ask you to update your play services app just update it and once you use live nettv appointment for the first time you can delete the play services update and live nettv will work just fine )

I paid a yearly subscription on my laptop, assuming that my other devices would be covered as they are all on the same wifi, only to find that they still only had a two minute window and I now have to find out how to link them. Had I known this I wouldn’t have bothered.
We would only use this facility for 5 months of the year. Does anyone know if you can choose the number of months you wish to pay for.
To get the subscription click on the 3 lines on the top left of the FilmOn screen. Click on Subscriptions and choose you package.
I went for 14,99 euros/month which now includes 12 hours free recording.
Up until now it has been 5 euros just for 3 hours recording.
You can pay by Bank Card or PayPal.

Ahhh. What a pity. I loved filmon and now to suffer because they are moving away. Is there a replacement?

We get this type of crap all the time. A couple of years ago I paid 400 euro for a huge dish, then they changed the satellite and rendered it useless. Does the UK really want to isolate itself completely from the rest of the world. I’m sure the actors and advertisers won’t appreciate having millions of potential customers cut off in such a callous manner.. With this attitude I won’t give filmon a penny and will make every effort to find a way to watch it for free..

That’s a bit of a bum deal. In the uk we pay already to watch the crap on BBC, we suffer adverts on the other channels in order they are free.
Then FilmOn expect to sting us yet again for the privilege of watching utter rubbish.
