Do you want to uninstall the TVAddons repository and Indigo addon from your system? Get rid of them forever with the guide below! TVAddons is a long-time Kodi community. They originally were the best source for third-party Kodi addons. Since legal problems started back in 2017, they have been implicated in a few shady tactics sprung upon Kodi users:

  1. The “Indigo” addon pushes a pop-up to Kodi users by default.
  2. Popular Kodi repositories (Blamo and 13 Clowns) who have stepped away from the Kodi community have been taken over by someone who pushes the TVAddons repository and Indigo addon onto unsuspecting Kodi users.
  3. TVAddons has added Indigo as a dependency for URLResolver, which itself is a dependency for many Kodi addons.

If you are annoyed with these Indigo popup messages or want to uninstall TVAddons forever, follow the steps below to uninstall everything.

Step 1: Uninstall the Indigo Kodi Addon

  1. From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > Program Add-ons.
  2. Hover on top of Indigo and press the menu (‘c’) button.
  3. Select Information.
  4. Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt asking you if you are sure.

Step 2: How to Uninstall TVAddons Kodi Repo

  1. From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > My Add-ons (Package Icon).
  2. Click on Install From Repository
  3. Hover on top of the TVAddons Repository and press the menu (‘c’) button.
  4. Select Information.
  5. Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt asking you if you are sure.

Can’t Uninstall TVAddons Repo

If you can’t uninstall the TVAddons repository in step #2 above, it should tell you which Kodi addon is still using the repo as a dependency. Follow these instructions to uninstall that Kodi addon and repeat this step and step #2 until everything is gone.

  1. From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > Video Addons
  2. Hover over top of the addon which is preventing you from uninstalling the TVA repo.
  3. Press the menu (‘c’) button
  4. Select Information
  5. Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt

After this, you will have uninstalled the TVAddons repository and Indigo addon. This is also a good reminder to make sure that you uninstall old Kodi repos and keep your addons up to date.  Comment below or get in touch with us on Twitter if you are having any trouble!
