NFL Kodi Live Streaming Tips

Here are some general Kodi streaming tips to help you when accessing media and content you are legally able to view:

1. Make sure your internet connection is a minimum of 10mbps and recommend 20mbps in order to have the bandwidth required for live streams.
2. Always make sure your media box is plugged in with hardwire Ethernet back to your router. The latency on wi-fi is 10x worse than hardwired Ethernet, which leads to more buffering.
3. When using peer-to-peer or acestream links, use a VPN to hide your connection and access content safely.
4. Test your streams well in advance of any event. Don’t wait until the last minute once an event has started.

Sling TV on Kodi Box Install Guide (Android TV)

NOTE: The following process is for Android TV Kodi boxes.

1. Access the Google Play Store by clicking on its icon on the main Android menu. Log in or create an account if necessary.
2. Search for “Sling TV” using the search bar. You can also use the Android voice control feature if you have it (Nvidia Shield does, for example).
3. Click on Sling TV and then press Install.
4. Click Accept when prompted to accept the terms and conditions of the app.

Hulu with Live TV

Hulu + Live TV connects viewers with local broadcasts and includes ESPN, so it covers Monday Night Football as well as CBS, Fox, NBC and NFL Network’s regional coverage.

The base plan (with ads) runs $76.99 per month and bundles in Disney+ and ESPN. For NFL RedZone specifically, add the Sports add-on for an extra $9.99 per month, which also throws in five other live sports networks.

NFL+ (Official NFL App)

NFL+ is the league’s own streaming app and replaced NFL Game Pass in the US back in 2022. The free tier gets you NFL Network and NFL RedZone audio plus your local and primetime game feeds on mobile.

NFL+ Premium is the tier that matters for cord-cutters: $14.99/month or $99.99 for the season. It adds live local and primetime games on any device (not just mobile), full NFL RedZone video, game replays, and coaches film.

YouTube TV & NFL Sunday Ticket

Since 2023, NFL Sunday Ticket (every out-of-market Sunday afternoon game) has lived on YouTube TV and YouTube, not DirecTV. You don’t need a YouTube TV subscription to buy it, but it’s cheaper if you have one.

Pricing for the 2026 season: standalone Sunday Ticket runs $480/season ($60/month across 8 payments), while YouTube TV subscribers pay $378/season ($47.25/month). Early-season discounts are typically available for new subscribers before kickoff, so check current pricing before you buy.

ESPN Unlimited

ESPN launched its own direct-to-consumer streaming service in August 2025, so you no longer need a cable package to get ESPN’s NFL coverage. ESPN Unlimited costs $29.99/month or $299.99/year and includes Monday Night Football along with all ESPN, ABC and NFL Network game broadcasts. A cheaper ESPN Select tier ($11.99/month) covers most live events but is worth double-checking against the NFL game list before you commit if MNF is your priority.

Worldwide NFL Kodi Streams

DAZN is the best source online for streaming NFL outside the US, and its reach extends beyond Canada if you use a VPN.

DAZN NFL Streams (Canada)

DAZN holds exclusive Canadian NFL rights under an extended multi-year deal with the league, covering every Sunday game, Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football, the full playoffs, and the Super Bowl. NFL Game Pass is included in a standard DAZN subscription in Canada, not sold separately.

DAZN in Canada runs C$24.99/month on the annual plan, or C$249.99 upfront for the full year. As of 2026, DAZN has dropped pre-roll ads and added offline downloads for Game Pass content.

If you don’t live in Canada, you can activate your VPN to a server in Canada and still sign up for the service.

DAZN NFL Game Pass International (Rest of World)

Outside the US, Canada and China, DAZN’s NFL Game Pass International is the NFL’s official worldwide streaming product, sold as a standalone pass in more than 200 markets under a 10-year deal running through the 2032 season. It streams every regular-season and postseason game live, regardless of device. Pricing varies by country but generally runs $150 to $200 USD per season.

Unofficial NFL Kodi Addons

There are some third party add-ons outside of the official Kodi repository that may advertise NFL Kodi related content. These add-ons host no streams and are purely search engines that pull in links from the public internet and display content like a web browser. Third party addons for popular live sporting events are generally laggy and unreliable, so be aware of that.

Lots of these addons rely on Acestreams, which use the BitTorrent network to share load between concurrent viewers. Sharing your connection will expose your IP address, so a VPN is recommended for these.

Note that these add-ons might not be illegal to use in every country. It is up to you to understand your country’s streaming laws.
