Unfortunately, it seems that the old Blamo repository has been hacked or taken over. The TVAddons Indigo addon and other dependencies are now automatically installed if you have the Blamo repo..
If you are seeing Indigo popup messages that you never saw a few days ago and suspect that it could be due to an upgrade to Blamo’s repo, follow the steps below to uninstall everything.
If you are an Indigo or TVAddons user, there is no harm in what has been pushed to Blamo’s repo and you can continue using Indigo. However, it is a highly shady tactic to force a Kodi addon onto unsuspecting users.
On Twitter, Blamo posted the following message to confirm what was going on:
Tvaddons still hard for me, (they’re) now updating a repo I no longer maintain.. went from sending me messages to updating my dead repo… lmfao yea I still do work/projects, do I maintain blamo repo NO and won’t again. If I bring up a repo it’ll only have legal content and it’ll come under a different name.
We talked to TVAddons who denied that they were apart of these actions.
So if you want to uninstall all of the TVAddons items installed into Blamo’s repo, follow the instructions below:
NOTE: If you are reading this on Husham’s website, it’s because he’s a sad excuse for a human being who steals content from real Kodi websites. Stay away from that garbage website and piece of trash.
Step 1: Uninstall Deathstreams Kodi Addon
TECHNICALLY, you can keep addons from Blamo and follow the rest of this guide and still be fine. However, these addons are not being maintained anymore and the scrapers inside of them are degrading more each day.
You would be better off to install Seren, Exodus Redux, or Yoda instead.
- From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > Video Add-ons.
- Hover on top of Deathstreams and press the menu (‘c’) button.
- Select Information.
- Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt asking you if you are sure.
Step 2: Uninstall the Mr Blamo Common Libraries
- From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Settings > System Settings > Add-on Settings
- Click on Manage Dependencies
- Hover on top of the Mr Blamo Common Library Module and press the menu (‘c’) button.
- Select Information.
- Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt asking you if you are sure.
Step 3: Uninstall the Exodus Kodi Addon
- From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > Video Add-ons.
- Hover on top of Exodus and press the menu (‘c’) button.
- Select Information.
- Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt asking you if you are sure.
Step 4: Uninstall the Indigo Kodi Addon
- From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > Program Add-ons.
- Hover on top of Indigo and press the menu (‘c’) button.
- Select Information.
- Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt asking you if you are sure.
Step 5: Uninstall the Blamo Kodi Repo
- From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > My Add-ons (Package Icon).
- Click on Install From Repository
- Hover on top of the Blamo Repository and press the menu (‘c’) button.
- Select Information.
- Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt asking you if you are sure.
Step 6: Uninstall the TVAddons Kodi Repo
- From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > My Add-ons (Package Icon).
- Click on Install From Repository
- Hover on top of the TVAddons Repository and press the menu (‘c’) button.
- Select Information.
- Click on Uninstall and accept the prompt asking you if you are sure.
After that, you should no longer see Blamo repo hacked content from TVAddons such as Indigo.
This is a good reminder to make sure that you uninstall old Kodi repos and keep your addons up to date.
